We are in Phan Theit. I got up very early this morning and walked out on the beach to watch Vietnamese fishers. I then read Luke 5:1-11. Their boat was docked after a wasted night at sea. When Jesus told them to cast their nets again they probably gave him a double take, but they obeyed. Their muscles were tired after a frustrating night, but they lifted their heavy nets and threw them over the side. To their delight, soon their nets were flipping and fluttering! What they did on their own left them empty handed, but with Jesus they got more than they ever could have imagined. God is here in Vietnam…and the fishing is good! Thank you for your prayers today. We will be in Ho Chi Minh City tonight.

Today was Rosemary and Gene Cline’s “special day” to pray for the group. We did but we also had our Small Group this evening. We as a group prayed for all of the people on the trip and for the people you met and the people of Vietnam. Really beautiful pictures. The sea like you see can be as smooth as glass or we sailed through 70 foot waves between Vietnam and the Philippines in 1967! Many nights we sailed in the north on glass smooth ocean and moonlight skies.
Thank you Gene for your faithful service many years ago. It is because of you and others like you that make me proud of our great country.
What can I say, “God is Good.” Geneva
